Water Marbling Lessons

Marbling is also known as ‘Ebru’. The word Ebru is thought to have been derived from the Persian word “Ebr” which means “clouds”. Marbling is the art of creating colorful patterns by sprinkling and brushing color pigment on water and then transferring this pattern on to paper. Mina Nazan Tem was twelve years old when she was first introduced to the art of paper marbling and has been studying this art with three well-known artists for the last six years. Her art reflects both traditional and modern styles. One of her goals is to introduce the art of paper marbling to as many people as possible and she is doing presentations and teaching this antique art form to lovers of beauty.
